Łódź is well-known as the centre of polish cinematography. Certainly it is connected with film school (commonly named Łódzka Filmówka), which educated famous polish actors and directors, and also with the most important film studio in post-war Poland, where were made more than 600 movies and animated cartoons. Nowadays every year in Łódź a lot of famous cameramen contend for “Gold Frog” during the “Camerimage” Festival.
